Hi there! I’m Rebecca Olkowski – a fun loving woman who doesn’t really live by the rules and has fun doing it.  (or, at least tries to most of the time)  Life does have a habit of getting in the way sometimes, but it’s all in how you react to it.

If you Google my name Rebecca Olkowski, (I married a Polish Guy at one point), or Rebecca Forstadt, (my maiden name), chances are there will be pages and pages about me, doing all sorts of different things.  Here is a quick guide to finding me on the Internet:

I love blogging and this is my personal blog.  I write in it when I get inspired.  It’s about having fun in business and life.  To be truthful, it’s been a work in progress, and, I admit, I’ve reinvented it several times.  But when it comes right down to it, my mission is to have as much fun as possible doing what I love.  Otherwise, what’s the point, right?

I mainly work with busy entrepreneurs , who don’t have the time to learn all the technicalities of blogging or are techno phobic and need a little hand holding.  Also, baby boomers, as I am one myself, but am extremely young at heart.

My 15 minutes which has turned into 30+ years of infamy Business

I have been a voice over actor since the early 80′s and a stage and on camera actor before that.  My first gig was in the melodrama at Knott’s Berry Farm being tied to the railroad tracks.  I became well known to a niche following of fans who love anime, although I have also done many radio/TV commercials, background voices for feature films, on camera work, and stage productions. If you look on my IMDB profile (Internet Movie Database) you will see that I have an extensive resume of work.  (with a lot of Japanese sounding names)  I’m a card carrying member of SAG and AFTRA and was a member of Actor’s Equity until I realized Los Angeles was not an Equity kind of town.  Visit my voice over actor blog at

My goal in life is to do more traveling (hence that is why I love the virtual world) enjoy life, and play with my two dogs.  I have 2 fabulous kids (grown up) and live with a guy in Los Angeles,  high above the San Fernando Valley where the coyotes howl.   It’s very cool!

I can put a WordPress Website up in about 3 minutes, create a Facebook Fan Page, but cannot figure out what kind of cell phone to buy.  Oh yes, I can’t turn on my television either, without a male assistant.  What happened to the simple on and off button? I guess that went out with Rabbit Ears.

My contract with my cell phone provider is up, my daughter, who always swiped my upgrades, moved out, and now I get to choose the phone of my choice.

I don’t know whether to get a Blackberry, Android, IPhone, or what!

How did we ever manage in a world without cell phones?  I remember leaving my first voice message on someone’s brand new answering machine waaaaaay back when.  That was terrifying.  The machine was some new fangled invention, and I didn’t know what I would do if I needed a retake.  (I’ve also been a voice over actor for over 30 years – Go figure)  Then we all got cell phones.  Some were as big as a microwave.  After that we learned to text.  I had teenagers.  That was easy.

Now people watch movies while driving and find a restaurant that’s nearby tracked by a satellite, along with reviews.   Someone just showed me that on her IPhone.  How cool!

I want a phone I can use for social networking, download my Outlook contacts, calendar, and email and not pay a million dollars for service. 

If you have any ideas and can help me make a decision, I’d appreciate it.  And ,if you could also help me translate the calling plan, which is about as easy to understand as an insurance policy, that would be great too.

Till then, I’ll keep hanging on to my dinosaur.  It has an awesome text keyboard, but not much else.

They continue to starve and complain.

This becomes part of our money blue print.  We always expect to be up and down, and therefore never make more than just enough.  The same is true for anyone who works by appointment.  This includes coaches, hypnotherapists, hair dressers, dog sitters, you name it.  What happens if you become disabled or even break your arm?  You are in jeopardy, especially in the current economic climate.

The key is to create systems that will bring you some type of residual or passive income.  I’m not talking about the residual income that actors get.  That may start off high, but after a while you start to get 2 cent checks in the mail.  You want residual income that keeps growing.  This may entail promoting affiliate products, creating Ebooks, courses, network marketing, etc., that brings in money on auto pilot.  Wouldn’t you love to see yourself hanging out on the French Riviera while cash is automatically streaming in your bank account?  Who wouldn’t?

Multiple income streams are ideal.  Remember when financial experts used to tell you to diversify?  Well, you may not have the stomach for the stock market, but there are less risky ways to mix it up, in case one method tanks.
