Are You a Jack of All Trades and Master of None?

Jack of all trades and master of noneAnymore, you can’t depend on just one income stream.  People are adding more and more to their plate.  The point is, to diversify, so that if one stream is clogged up, you have others working for you.  It’s smart.  However, taking on too much at once has a downside.  If your mind is going in too many directions, you get virtually nothing done.

The key to making it work is to take the time to develop systems that do the work for you.  Certain online businesses, such as affiliate marketing or online courses, can be automated with the use of a good email system and auto responders.

Developing systems is also a great exit strategy.  Do you want to keep holding appointments for the rest of your life, or would you like to be sitting in a café in Paris?  I personally choose Paris, and I’m still working on it.

At some point, you may not be able to do the physical work yourself.  I, myself, have always worked in the freelance field.  (as an actor . . . ouch!)  You go from gig to gig.  It’s not much different than a hair dresser or a hypnotherapist.  However, a hypnotherapist, for example, can create audio MP3’s to sell online.  A hair dresser has to be physically there to work on hair, but why not create a hair styling ebook?

Think about where you want to see yourself at age 60?  (or even 40)  Would like to be depending on Social Security (NOT) or cruise the Mediterranean?  Find a business model that works for you and get your systems in place.
